PREVIEW: Bedding Status Decision Trees

Bedding Status is critical for compliant billing and revenue integrity, especially for billing of Medicare/Medicaid patient encounters. Several CMS regulations, however, make these decisions rather complicated. Over the years, Aerolib has produced several visual aides in the form of workflow decision trees, based upon the various regulations and rules. The trees are available online, usable via mobile devices; or as letter size PDF for printing; and as poster size, for print up to 36×24.

Nine trees are available via the Aerolib AI Tool, for the following scenarios:

  • Condition Code 44 Rule
  • Condition Code 51 Rule (72-hour Rule)
  • Medicare Utilization Day 1
  • Medicare Utilization Day 2
  • Medicare Utilization Day 3
  • Outpatient Approaching 2nd Midnight
  • AB Rebill Self-Audit Before Billing
  • AB Rebill for New Denial
  • AB Rebill for Denied Appeal
